Description

The Atlas of Urban Tactics and its companion booklet break down how activists and organisers have fought for a better and more sustainable way of living. From the Indian boycott of British goods in the 1920s to Fela Kuti’s Zombie album in 1977 to the Palestinian Sonic Liberation Front—alternatives for a better world have often emerged from moments of resistance and creativity.

This toolset explores how these approaches are being adapted to address both local and global challenges. It also looks at the history and evolution of the tactics by community and other organisations, activists, strategists, and the diverse actors in urban systems, and asks where they might go next.
